 When the vehicle is turned off and the transmission stops operating, the oil pan collects and stores the transmission fluid that flows back from various friction surfaces inside the transmission, ensuring sufficient fluid supply for the next startup. In addition, it helps maintain a stable transmission fluid level, ensuring consistent and reliable oil supply under different driving conditions.


密封与防污

   许多宝马车型采用油底壳与滤芯一体式设计,滤芯能够过滤变速箱油中的金属碎屑、摩擦颗粒等杂质,减少污染物再次进入油路,降低阀体、电磁阀等精密部件的磨损。同时,油底壳通过密封结构防止外部灰尘、水分进入变速箱内部。

   Many BMW models use an integrated design that combines the oil pan and filter element. The filter can remove contaminants such as metal debris and friction particles from the transmission fluid, preventing these impurities from re-entering the oil circuit and reducing wear on precision components such as the valve body and solenoid valves.    若发现车辆停放后地面出现油渍、检查时发现油底壳边缘有油污,或变速箱油液位持续下降,很可能是密封圈老化、油底壳开裂或变形导致漏油。

   If oil stains are found on the ground after the vehicle has been parked, oil residue is noticed around the edges of the oil pan during inspection, or the transmission fluid level continues to drop, it is likely that the leakage is caused by aged sealing rings, a cracked oil pan, or deformation of the oil pan.

   变速箱油底壳长期处于高温、高压的工作环境中,如果车辆发生底盘磕碰,或长期受到热胀冷缩影响,油底壳可能出现变形甚至开裂。壳体一旦变形或开裂,不仅会影响密封效果,还可能造成变速箱油持续渗漏。

   The transmission oil pan operates under high-temperature and high-pressure conditions for extended periods. If the vehicle experiences impacts to the undercarriage or is repeatedly affected by thermal expansion and contraction, the oil pan may become deformed or even crack. Once the housing is deformed or damaged, it can not only compromise the sealing performance but may also lead to continuous transmission fluid leakage.

   变速箱油底壳能够帮助变速箱油散热,维持油温稳定。当油底壳表面积聚大量油泥、污垢,或因老化、变形影响散热效果时,变速箱油温容易升高。长期高温不仅会加速变速箱油老化,还会降低润滑性能,增加内部零件的磨损,缩短变速箱使用寿命。

   The transmission oil pan helps dissipate heat from the transmission fluid and maintain a stable operating temperature. When a large amount of sludge and dirt accumulates on the surface of the oil pan, or when aging and deformation affect its heat dissipation performance, the transmission fluid temperature can easily rise. Prolonged exposure to high temperatures not only accelerates transmission fluid deterioration but also reduces lubrication performance, increases wear on internal components, and shortens the service life of the transmission.

   油底壳与变速箱壳体之间依靠密封垫进行密封。随着车辆使用时间增加,密封件容易出现老化、硬化、失去弹性等情况,从而导致密封性能下降。轻则油底壳边缘出现渗油,重则持续漏油,造成变速箱油液不足。

   The oil pan is sealed to the transmission housing by a gasket. As the vehicle ages and accumulates more mileage, the sealing gasket may become aged, hardened, or lose its elasticity, resulting in reduced sealing performance. In mild cases, oil seepage may appear around the edge of the oil pan; in more severe cases, continuous leakage can occur, leading to insufficient transmission fluid levels.

   随着行驶里程增加,变速箱油会逐渐氧化、变质,黏度下降,润滑和散热性能减弱,同时还会混入金属碎屑、摩擦颗粒等杂质。长期使用老化变质的变速箱油,不仅会加剧内部零部件磨损,还可能出现换挡顿挫、换挡延迟、异响等现象。

   As mileage increases, transmission fluid gradually oxidizes and deteriorates, causing its viscosity to decrease and reducing its lubrication and heat dissipation performance. At the same time, it becomes contaminated with metal shavings, friction particles, and other impurities. Continuing to use degraded transmission fluid can accelerate wear of internal transmission components and may lead to issues such as harsh shifting, delayed gear engagement, and abnormal transmission noise.
